DJ Vasanth is the newest sought-after music director. Speedunnodu has catapulted him into fortune. After years of struggle, the creative musician is finally the talk of the town.

Sharing his experience about working with Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao for Speedunnodu, he says, "We worked together for two years during which I composed over 50 tunes, out of which only 13 were recorded. Of the 13, five made it to the album. Many directors and producers have called me and appreciated my work. Rekkalatho chukkalakegire.., Ammayitho abbayi.., Bachelor babu.. have been the most appreicated songs," says DJ Vasanth, brimming with happiness and confidence.

Vasanth is the grandson of Sathyam , who scored music for over 650 films in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.

"I was born and brought up in Vizianagaram, where I did diploma in violin. I learnt keyboard playing in Chennai. Later, I worked as an assistant under Harris Jayaraj, RP Patnaik, Chakri, and others. Speedunnodu is my tenth film. In this industry, it`s not important how many films one has worked for, but which film has given break," he says, looking back.

'Bheemineni garu took care to ensure that the music is different from that in his previous films. Along with the film, the audio too has become a big hit. I have used not regular instruments, but those from Rajasthan, and the Western," Vasanth reveals.

"B Jaya garu`s Vaisakham is one of my next films. The shooting is already on. I`m done with composing three of the five songs. They have come out really well. She has also made me write a song," he says.

"I`m basically a lyricist. I wrote two songs in Priyamaina Neeku. In pop singer Smita`s Koyilamma, I wrote all the songs. I have made a few private albums," he says.
