Red hot updates on the early draft picks and mega auction ahead of the IPL 2022!

Indian Premier League (IPL) is the world-famous cricket tournament and a celebration of the shortest game format - 20 over matches. Meanwhile, the BCCI has introduced two new IPL teams ahead of the mega auction for the 2022 edition.

Now, we have gathered some exclusive updates on the upcoming season of the IPL. Indiaglitz had already reported to you that the two new franchises will represent Lucknow and Ahmedabad and each of these teams will get to pick three players ahead of the mega auction. The latest report is that KL Rahul, Marcus Stonis, Ravi Bishnoi are picked by the Lucknow team and Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill are picked by the Ahmedabad team.

KL Rahul will lead the Lucknow side and Hardik Pandya will captain the Ahmedabad side. It is worth mentioning that KL Rahul is picked by the Lucknow team for Rs 17 crores and has become the joint-highest paid player in IPL history. A total of 49 Players including 17 Indians and 32 Overseas Players have listed their base price at the highest ₹2 Crs for the Mega Auction.

Also, notable players like Mitchell Starc, Sam Curran, Ben Stokes, Chris Gayle, Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes have made them unavailable on the IPL 2022 list. In addition, the big updates are that the mega auction is to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru and the 15th edition matches are most likely to be hosted by Mumbai and Pune without any live viewers. Lastly, the new season is likely to start on March 27 and end in the last week of May.
