Controversial TV show Bigg Boss is one of the most popular reality shows in the country with seven different versions across the states. The franchise, which originally debuted in 2006 in Hindi, extended its presence in Kannada and Bengali in 2013, Tamil and Telugu in 2017, and Malayalam and Marathi in 2018. The reality show, which includes celebrities as well as commoners as its participants, has received a huge response from audience across the nation owing to its entertaining and controversial content. The question about whether or not the show is scripted has risen numerous times over the years. While the makers have maintained that Bigg Boss is definitely not a scripted show, viewers continue to express their doubts.

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss Hindi's host, Bollywood star Salman Khan, recently opened up about the claims. According to a report by an entertainment portal, Salman mentioned that "even the biggest script writer of the show cannot script Bigg Boss as everything changes within seconds during the task be it the loyalty, emotions, atmosphere everything." He addressed the same during the launch of the upcoming season, Bigg Boss 14. "There is a misconception that contestants are allowed to come out of the house in between, that is not true. The contestant only leaves the house when they get eliminated. You cannot script anyone, neither Siddharth Shukla, Shehnaaz Gill, Hina Khan or Gauahar Khan (former contestants)," he added.

Bigg Boss 14 is set to have its grand premiere on October 3 and will air Monday-Friday at 10.30 pm and at 9.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the contestants of Bigg Boss Tamil 4, hosted by veteran actor Kamal Haasan, are still in the process of being finalized and the show is expected to be launched soon.
