Is it Alaipayuthe, Part II?

As Maniratnam embarked on the shoot of his new movie 'OK Kanmani' it was widely reported that the movie is a remake of Maniratnam's yester year hit 'Maunaragam'.
But now the news doing the rounds is that this is a sequel to the big romantic film 'Alai Payuthe' which had Shalini and Madhavan in the lead.
This time Maniratnam is said to be trying for a different romantic story with Dulqar Salman and Nithya Menon in the lead. The movie which has some fine songs by A R Rahman will have its music release on the valentine's day, that is on the 14th of February.
