Is Nargis serious about Bollywood?

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,March 15 2014]

With Nargis choosing a Hollywood film over 'Shaukeen', despite its shoot being just a few weeks away, there is a question mark being put around her seriousness when it comes to her Bollywood sojourn.

You get a film in Hollywood and then suddenly forget all about Bollywood? You have a film waiting to go on floors, and that too with one of the top superstars of the country; still you give it a skip? Surprising! Leave aside the fact that you may not be grateful about reuniting with an actor whom you had anyways miffed a couple of years back, how about the missed opportunity of featuring in a major commercial film where you are the solo lead? 'Rockstar' was offbeat, 'Madras Cafe' had her playing a 'firang' and now in 'Main Tera Hero' she is one of the two female leads. There better be a good reason to drop 'Shaukeen', the source adds.

However there are some who feel that Nargis may well have taken a calculated call.

Says a fellow actor, Nargis has anyways been a non-conformist. If she flies down to Hollywood, sees a good hit in her debut outing there and actually builds a career there, we may be actually hailing this move.

While one waits to see if this indeed happens, as of now one can conveniently say that for quite a few insiders in Bollywood, her moves are being tracked quite closely.
