Is PKSE going to be 'Jhankaar Beats' of 2006?

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,August 03 2006]

When 'Jhankaar Beats' released 3 years back, it took a little while to be grasped by the Bollywood followers who had so far been exposed to lateral presentation of a story! Sujoy Ghosh's new age direction introduced a new style of story telling and though it took some time to catch on with the public, today it is considered one of the cult movies in the comic genre!

Circa 2006 and it seems that Rahul Bose's upcoming 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' too belongs to the same class! Promos of the film have been highly exciting and have a charged up feel to it while the treatment looks fresh too, just like 'Jhankaar Beats' did in 2003! Debutant Saket Chaudhary's direction appears to have a certain style to it that indicates that youth are going to latch up to the film in a big way.

To add cherry on the cake, the music by Pritam has turned into a hit which further translates into youth patronizing the product! Come August 25th and we should have the answers. And if the film does turn out to be similar in style as that of 'Jhankaar Beats', then kudos to PNC [Pritish Nandy Communications] for their ever enthusiastic endeavor to change the face of Indian cinema. Reason? Both 'Jhankaar Beats' and 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' have PNC as their producers!
