IT raids on Telugu industry biggies properties

Asian Cinema's promoters Narayana Das and Sunil Narang and their properties are today facing the heat from the Income Tax Department. As per media reports, the offices, properties and residences of the duo, along with their associates and family members, have been raided across the Telugu States. Das and Narang own several theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Sunil Narang is a partner of Mahesh Babu and they both are joint promoters of AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad.

Even as details are awaited, it's clear that the raids have to be seen in the context of sleuths swooping down on the likes of Kalki Bhavan and Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited in recent weeks.
