VV Vinayak is hardly in doubt. It's as if 'Khaidi No. 150' has become a huge hit. A day ahead of its release, the mass director fields challenging questions in his cool style.

It's a hit already!:

I don't know why, but I am not tensed. I already have this feeling that my film is a super hit. When Chiranjeevi hugged me saying it has come out very well, it was clear to me then and there.

The changes to original:

If I have to tell the story in one line, it's about how a leader of farmers leads them to victory against corporate depredations.

We haven't changed the story. Even those who have watched the original will say, 'Wow! Chiranjeevi has done great'. Those who haven't watched the original will be super-thrilled.

We have only added the elements that a Chiranjeevi film needs, say, songs and comedy. The climax is the same. Brahmanandam's role is not there in the original. I had written the role for Raghu Babu, but on annayya's suggestion, I changed it because he likes Brahmanandam personally. There is no item song in the original.

Why not remake?:

Why did I do a remake? The simple answer is, because it will be a hit Annayya had heard about 50 stories. He did not want message-only, comedy-only or entertainment-only scripts. He wanted a story which had everything in it. A dubbed movie wouldn't make this big a business.

Message with goosebumps:

We read about farmers' plight in newspapers, but when a star hero says it, it's something else. The way Chiranjeevi garu expresses their pain in this film, it gives goosebumps. We haven't referenced to politics.

The craze has not dimnished at all:

Everybody has had expectations about how his 150th movie should be. After watching this film, the writers/directors will know that he can be shown like this or that.

This is more commercial than 'Tagore'. Many thought that annayya might have lost connect with youth, but nothing has changed. All the shows are houseful. They like him as a mass hero. Only that they expect the visuals, the songs to be more polished. Everything else is same.

The force that Annayya is:

I was in depression after the failure of 'Akhil'. It was annayya who brought me out of it.

All those who were skeptical will be surprised to watch him tomorrow. He is looking more handsomer than what he was in 'Tagore'. You will know what one can do when a person has perseverance. With sheer determination, annayya has got into this shape.

Charan Vs Chiranjeevi:

Charan is someone who just does his job. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi garu involves himself totally in the project. Charan will be seen dancing to a tune in the last song of the film - 'Ammadu'. Pawan Kalyan is not there.

Didn't want to hurt Prudhvi:

Prudhvi's 40-seconds-long scene was edited out. But when I read his statement that he was pained as if his mother had passed away, I too felt pained. Chiranjeevi garu asked me to include the portion because he didn't want to hurt Prudhvi.

Final remarks:

When it comes to truthfulness, 'Khaidi No. 150' is 'Tagore'. When it comes to songs, it is 'Indra'. When it comes to comedy, it is 'Rowdy Alludu'.
