Actress Anu Sithara is one of the few Malayalam actresses who carved a niche for herself in a very short period of time. Having made her acting debut through the movie ‘Pottas Bomb’, Anu rose to fame with the 2017 movie, 'Ramante Eden Thottam' in which she played the female lead opposite to actor Kunchacko Boban. Her character in the Jayasurya starrer 'Captain' also garnered praise. She was last seen in the Mammootty starrer 'Mamangam' and 'Maniyarayile Ashokan'.

In November last year, the actress kickstarted the shoot of her upcoming movie titled Santhosham, directed by Ajith Thomas, who has previously worked as an associate in Jeethu Joseph’s films such as ‘My Boss’, ‘Memories’, ‘Drishyam’ and its Tamil remake ‘Papanasham’. The upcoming movie features Anu Sithara and Amith Chakalakkal in the lead roles. Reportedly, Anu Sithara will be helming a bold entrepreneurial character in the film who runs an office while Amith Chakalakkal will essay the role of a business executive who works in Kochi. A day ago, the team wrapped up the shoot and the news was informed by the lead star himself along with a picture from the set. “Thank you all. Thank god. Pack up," wrote Amith.

The movie also features actors Mallika Sukumaran, Anu Sithara,Jeethu Joseph, Asha Aravind, Suneesh Vaaranadu, Amith Chakalakkal, Nithya Mamen, and Tinku Peter in pivotal roles. Penned by Arjun TS of Rakshadhikarai Baiju Oppu fame, the movie's editing will be carried out by Johnkutty, whereas the cinematography will be done by Karthik A.
