Megastar Chiranjeevi regards September 22 as a special date in his life. 'Pranam Khareedu', his debut movie, was out on 22 Sept 1978.
On Wednesday, Chiru wrote that the 22nd of Sept is thus his birthday as an actor. Feel humbled and grateful for the invaluable lakhs of my brothers and sisters this day made possible. It was the day when Cine Kalamathalli embraced me and introduced me to you all, the 'Bhola Shankar' star wrote.
Directed by K Vasu, 'Pranam Khareedu' also starred Rao Gopal Rao, Jayasudha, Chandra Mohan and others.
On the work front, Chiru is currently in Ooty to shoot for 'Godfather'. Directed by Mohan Raja, the film is a remake of 'Lucifer' (Malayalam). SS Thaman and lensman Nirav Shah are on board. Suresh Selvarajan is its art director. Written and directed by Mohan Raja, the film is produced by RB Choudary and NV Prasad.
