Marking his birthday today (May 21), Malayalam superstar Mohanlal unveiled the official announcement video of 'Drishyam 2'. To be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jeetu Joseph, it will be shot once the film shootings are permitted.

To be produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the thriller's cast and crew details are yet to be announced. The film will be a sequel to 'Drishyam', a sensational hit that came to be successfully remade in Telugu (with Venkatesh as the hero) and Tamil (with Kamal Haasan as the hero).

Before 'Drishyam 2', Complete Actor Mohanlal and Jeetu Joseph were supposed to do a thriller titled 'Ram'. It was to star Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. For whatever reason, the project has been put on hold indefinitely.
