Days after the Ayodhya verdict, the Hyderabadi politician said in an interview that he wants Babri Masjid back. As per him, the Supreme Court has upheld faith by ignoring law in the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute.

He is not in agreement with the apex court saying that the faith of Hindus that Lord Ram was born under the dome where Babri Masjid stood till 6 December 1992 is to be taken into consideration.

A staunch critic of the BJP-RSS, Owaisi has said that he can't dance to Modi's tunes.
