'Jabardasth' comedian surrenders in smuggling case

Comedy actor Y Haribabu, who appears on ETV’s Jabardasth show, on Tuesday surrendered before Task Force Inspector General of Police, M Kantha Rao, in Tirupathi. Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force police had been on a hunt for Y Haribabu, whom the police suspect has been involved in the smuggling of red sanders.
When he came to the police, Haribau was accompanied by his advocate. The Task Force immediately arrested him. He has since been sent on a judicial remand.
As per early investigation, Haribabu used the proceeds from smuggling activities as an investment in the making of films and TV serials.
