International action star Jackie Chan has fans all over the world. Known for performing his own stunts without using body doubles, he gained massive popularity especially during the 1980s and 1990s. Some of his biggest hits include “Drunken Master” (1978), “Police Story” (1985), and “Rush Hour” (1998).

In a recent interview, Jackie Chan expressed concern over the current trend in Hollywood action films relying heavily on computer graphics. According to him, today’s action scenes lack realism due to overuse of CGI.

He added, “Back in our days, the only way to make action films was to physically perform the stunts. Now, computers can do almost anything, but it doesn’t feel authentic. CGI is a double-edged sword — while it allows impossible stunts to be visualized, it removes the sense of danger and emotional connection for viewers.”

Despite the risks involved, Jackie Chan emphasized that he never promotes others to take life-threatening chances like he did. “I always do my own stunts, and that’s who I am. I have been doing this for 64 years and I don’t need much preparation anymore — it’s all in my mind,” he said.
