In the past few days there have been various reports making the rounds that the upcoming Dhanush starrer Jagame Thandhiram directed by Karthik Subbaraj will be released directly on OTT, skipping a theatrical release.

There have been widespread talks that while producer Sashikant of Y Not studios plans a OTT release, Dhanush wishes for the movie to release in theatres first. Now, Dhanush has opened up for the first time regarding the movie release.

Dhanush has tweeted "I am hoping for the theatrical release of Jagame Thandiram like the theatre owners, exhibitors, distributors, cinema lovers and most of all my fans. Fingers crossed", clearly stating that he wants a theatrical release only.
