Way back in 2007 it was Venkat Prabhu who pioneered the new wave movement by making 'Chennai 600028' on a shoe string budget which went on to not only conquer the box office but won unanimous critical acclaim.

Today VP has begun the sequel to 'Chennai 600028' with all the stars from the original Jai, Shiva, Vaibav, Vijay Vasanth, Premgi Amaran, Nithin Sathya, Ajay Raj, Arvind Aakash and Vijayalakshmi. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores the music and knowing this team it is going to be one big joy ride for every cast and crew member throughout the duration of the project.
