The shooting for Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Superstar Rajinikanth, is progressing at a brisk pace. The team plans to complete the entire filming by January.

In this context, Kannada superstar Shivrajkumar, who made a memorable cameo appearance in the first part, has shared an exciting update about ‘Jailer 2’ in a recent interview.

“I have already completed one day of shooting so far. I’ve allocated one more day soon, followed by three days in January. The story is a direct continuation of ‘Jailer’. Compared to the first part, my character will have significantly more screen time this time,” Shivrajkumar stated.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film features Rajinikanth alongside a stellar cast including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mohanlal, Vidya Balan, and SJ Suryah in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for this highly anticipated sequel, which is scheduled for theatrical release in August 2026.
