The Jeethu Joseph-Mohanlal combo delivered the biggest hit in Malayalam cinema with Drishyam` which caught the imagination of pan Indian filmmakers, resulting in the film being remade and succeeding in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.

In a similar way the Mohan Raja directed Thani Oruvan` written by himself and Subha with Jayam Ravi-Arvind Swamy and Nayanthara leading the cast has become such a huge critical and commercial success that other language filmmakers are making a beeline towards Raja for the remake rights. It is believed that Salman Khan in Hindi, Ram Charan Teja in Telugu, Puneeth Rajkumar in Kannada, actress Genelia in Marathi and a renowned Bengali production house are close to inking a deal. If everything falls into place then Thani Oruvan` will go one step ahead of Drishyam` as it will be remade in five languages.
