'Jayamma Panchayathi' Trailer: Interesting drama expected!

In the trailer for 'Jayamma Panchayathi', seriousness takes over the light-touch narration in the second half. The titular character and her husband are facing a health crisis. The village council is dealing with a vexatious issue raised by Jayamma.
With Suma Kanakala and Devi Prasad as a wife and husband, the May 6th release also deals with the council politics and Jayamma's frustrations. A young couple are in an inter-caste love affair. It seems the film is also a commentary on social issues like caste-based hierarchy, feudalistic mindsets and collectivism.
All the issues are revolving around my husband's illness, Jayamma says in exasperation. The trailer keeps the conflict plot point suspenseful.
Produced by Balaga Prakash, the drama has music by Keeravaani MM. With the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction by Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu, its cinematography is by Anush Kumar. Edited by Ravi Teja Girijala, this Vennela Creations production will hit the screens on May 6.
