Jayaram Teams with Asha Sarath for a remake

Samuthirakani will debut in Mollywood as director through the remake of his Tamil movie Appa. The film was critically acclaimed and received rave reviews. Jayaram will play the role that Samuthirakani did in Tamil. Asha Sarath will play the role of Jayaram's wife in this film.

The rest of the cast is yet-to-be finalized. There are reports that Thambi Ramaiah will repeat the same role in Malayalam. But it is not confirmed as he is busy with other projects. Ilayaraj will compose the music for Malayalam also. The film will start rolling from next month.
