JeyamRavi-Nayanthara starrer Thanyiyoruvan` has already found its place in history. This M.A.Raja directorial may well be the last mainstream film to be shot using film rolls.

As the entire film world is resorting to the cost effective digital filmmaking, cinematographer Ramji whose array of works include highly acclaimed films like Ram`, Paruthiveeran`and Aayirathil Oruvan` has shot Thaniyoruvan` with film rolls except for a flashback sequence and the final song.

Speaking in a recent interview. Ramji has said that using films for the shoot enhances the creativity of the cinematographer. He also added that the intensity and depth of the image is better in film rather than digital.

However, even people like Ramji will have to go for digital filmmaking from there next film as it has become very tough to source film rolls for shooting, even if some producers are willing to bare the higher cost.

Ramji had sourced the film rolls for Thanyoruvan` from Mumbai with the help of Gemini labs.

Thaniyoruvan` is touted to be a commercial entertainer and it has musical score by Hiphop Tamizha` Aadhi.
