Cathriona White an ex-girlfriend of popular comedian Jim Carrey committed suicide by drug overdosing in 2015.  Her husband Mark Burton and mother Brigid Sweetman filed a case alleging that the 'Mask' star was to blame for the unfornate death as he had allegedly given her multiple sex transmitted disease and also provided her with the drugs.

Jim Carrey had in turn filed the counter that the family of his deceased ex-girlfriend were making false accusations so that they can make some money from him.  Even before the case could go to trail it has come to light that Cathriona White had forged her test reports that she was clean of diseases before she met him. The case has been dismissed on the 25th of January.
