Jimmy's 'strange' look in Strangers

Jimmy Shergill who portrays the role of a failed, disillusioned writer in STRANGERS, has worked hard on his look according to the character of the film. STRANGERS is Jimmy Shergill's best performance till date.
In fact soon after the shoot of Delhi Heights, Jimmy grew his hair for the character. Jimmy's role plays a failed writer with a very sloppy disheveled look. The character goes through a huge emotional turmoil, quite disillusioned with life.

Says Jimmy, I had just finished shooting for Delhi Heights and went to London directly for the shoot of 'Strangers'. Though initially we had a brief outline on this of what the character would look like. But when we started shooting, the intensity of the character was such that we started incorporating certain changes during the shoot itself and the result was just phenomenal.

Jimmy is also seen in grey tracks and sweaters because as a writer he is least worried about the visual impact. And while in the midst of the shooting they incorporated the fluffy hair, cigarette in hand on a typewriter for added effect. Jimmy also wore a trench coat which gave him eerie and disturbed kind of a look.

According to the director Anand Rai, Jimmy's character Rahul, is a 'looser within' and that comes across quite beautifully. In fact when I saw our make up artist, wearing a particular skull cap, I asked him to give it to Jimmy. And voila the effect was mind blowing. Jimmy wore the cap for the month long shoot, which even had the make up artist grumbling lightheartedly about losing his cap. Jimmy is a revelation in the film, there is level of fearlessness in the way he has approached his character in the film .

STRANGERS is being presented by Sahara One Motion Pictures, due to release on December 7 th.
