New details about John Abraham's character in 'Pathan'

With all the buzz around it, fans are quite eager to witness Shahrukh Khan's comeback project 'Pathan'. The film is an action packed espionage thriller which will kickstart YRF's shared spy universe. 'Pathan' also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. A lot has been said about SRK's role but John's was under wraps till now. It was known that John will be the main antagonist in the film and the latest reports suggest that he'll play a mercenary for hire.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “John plays the role of someone who works for money. He doesn’t have a nationality; he is ruthless with his only religion being money. It’s more like a freelance undercover terrorist. In Pathan, he works for the Russian mafia, who are running a covert gun racket in India.
John's character will be different from terrorist normally portrayed in the media. Instead of being an extremist, he'll be man in disguise determined to push limits for money.
