The Hollywood A-lister Johnny Depp who is getting a huge media glare currently has sold his debut collection of prints he created and dedicated to Hollywood's rock icons on Thursday, in collaboration with the UK gallery chain, Castle Fine Art.

Johnny wrote on Instagram that the prints were going on sale online at Castle Fine Art, which runs a network of UK galleries. The gallery had also shared a photo of Johnny working on Bob Dylan's painting.

He also shared a photo of himself with the artwork on his Instagram handle. In the background, paintings featuring Bob Dylan, late actress Elizabeth Taylor, actor Al Pacino and Rolling Stone's Keith Richards can be seen.

The gallery later tweeted, “#JohnnyDepp broke the internet! Website will be back up soon.” All the prints were marked as "out of stock" by Thursday evening. There were 780 pieces of art. Buyers paid £14,950 ( ₹14.40 lakh) for a set of all four framed prints or £3,950 ( ₹3.8 lakh) for a single print.

On the personal front, In June, Depp won his legal battle with Heard following a sensational six-week-long trial in the United States. Depp sued Heard, 36, for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote about the alleged domestic violence she suffered, although she did not name her ex-husband. He demanded more than 38 million, saying her domestic abuse claims have all but ended his career and ruined his reputation.

A jury ruled in favour of the actor, following weeks of testimony from Depp, Heard, friends of the pair, expert witnesses and even supermodel Kate Moss - a former partner of Depp. He was awarded compensatory damages of $10 million (8 million pounds) and a further $5 million (4 million pounds) in punitive damages.
