July 4- the latest film of Dileep has four songs which belong to different genres. The songs are created by the master creators like Shibu Chakravarthy, Vayalar Sharath and Ouseppachan.

As usual Ouseppachan has excelled in his meticulous orchestration and chorus works, taking and assembling pieces from a variety of musical styles. But except a couple of the songs, the other few don't make space for an impact hearing.

1. Oru Vakkum Singers: Vineeth Sreenivasan, Shwetha

This is the best track in the album rendered as separate songs by Shwetha and Vineeth. Both these singers use their energetic voices and turns it into a sure hit. The song starts with the composer seeming to be still under the euphoria of his recent 'Pranayakalam', but with smooth orchestrations and with a lovely tune, this will make you hum it, for days to come. Extensive use of soft humming voices of the music director and a free flowing nature of the andharas will make it, one of the best melodies of the year and an enjoyable song tempting you to press the rewind button.

2. Kanavinte Singers: Vidhu, Jyotsna

Vidhu is back after a short time with a potential winner which could be a favorite among the youth. The song has the strains of a mappilapattu ishals, but both singers given a vibrant energy to the song by rendering them with their unique styles. The song has a catchy beat which is used as a dance number in the film. A lot of good keyboard and violin interludes have been used smoothly, with an equally impressive chorus.

3. Vaakamarathin Singers: M G Sreekumar, Sayanora

It reminds you of a song that we had heard some where. It is a vintage melodious number. Sayanora excels in the repeat version of the song, giving adequate nuances with her raw voice for the country folk mood. Not only the tune but also the rhythm and lyrics at few places remind one of an old song.

4. Kaattu Poocha Kurumbi Singers: Afsal, Sayanora

This is a playful number, rather a situational song, sprinkled in between with English lyrics. With naughty lyrics and beats, this could be a favorite for children. The orchestra and rhythm remind you of western club dances, and duets of yesteryear cinema.

Overall this album adheres to Ouseppachan's recent standards, but too much use of   heard stuff is bound to bring the enjoyment level down.

Even though some of the pieces lack the originality, at least a couple of songs will get the right nod and can be heard at least, for twice.
