Breaking! Jyothika's next movie by a cult classic female director

Jyothika, who was a leading heroine in the South film industries in the last late 90s and early 2000s, took a sabattical from films after marrying Surya. She made her re-entry in 2015 with the feel good film '36 Vayadhinile' which was a super hit and she has since continued her journey starring in female centric hits such as 'Magalir Mattum', 'Naachiyaar', 'Kaatrin Mozhi', and 'Ratchasi'.
Jyo has also joined hands with her husband Suriya and runs the production house 2D Entertainment that produced the recent super hits 'Soorarai Pottru', 'Ramae Aandaalum Ravanae Aandaalum' and 'Jai Bhim'.
The buzz in Kollywood is that Jyothika has given her nod to star in a new movie to be directed by Priya V of 'Kanda Naal Mutha' fame. The romantic comedy film that had Prasanna, Laila and Karthik Kumar in the lead roles was a sleeper hit when released in 2005 and attained cult classic status.
It is said that the new film which will go on floors soon will be produced by Surya-Jyotika's 2D Entertainment and the official announcement is awaited.
