Actress Jyothika recently had a release with Ponmagal Vandhaal directed by debutant JJ Frederick and co-starring K Bhagyaraj, Parthiban, Prathap Pothan and Pandiarajan and the movie premiered on May 29 on Amazon prime video.

As a part of the movie's release promotions, Jyothika had an interactive session with fans, replying to their questions. One of the fans asked if she'll act in a sequel to her 2003 blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha co-starring Suriya.

Jyothika replied that Suriya and herself will definitely act in Kaakha Kaakha 2 and if Gautham Vasudev Menon comes with an interesting script for the sequel, they'll immediately start working on it. When asked about Naachiyaar sequel, Jyothika responded that she'll inform Bala to get ready with a script for Naachiyaar 2.
