'Kaaka Muttai' Manikandan gets the most Valuable Award

The K. Balachander Trust will be launched officially on the 9th of July, that is tomorrow and a grand event will take place at the Rajarathinam Auditorium in RA Puram and in the morning Kamal Haasan`s Uttama Villain` which marked the last onscreen appearance of the Iyakkunar Sigaram will be screened.

Various film personalities will share their experiences with KB and also an awards ceremony will take place. The first K. Balachander Cinema Award will be given to Manikandan as an appreciation for his masterful direction of the little gem Kaaka Muttai`. Even though Manikandan has got his share of accolades for the film the K Balachander award will surely be valued most by him.
