'Kaala' heroine opens up about casting couch

Huma Quereshi has already become popular down south owing to the fact that she is a part of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’. While many actresses are coming forward to open up about their encounters with casting couch and sexual harassment, actress Huma Quereshi is the latest to join.
Huma Quereshi has stated that sexual harassment has a lot to do with power and that it was not exclusive to the film industry alone. “Well, as a woman, absolutely, I have had to deal with people making advances at me, but not just people from the business of film industry, but people across different professions and different strata,” she said.
In addition to this, she also said that most of the women who speak up against such issues in India are getting character assasinated and this behaviour must change. “If a woman is saying something out loud, she is asking for help and you have no business to character assassinate her,” she stated.
‘Kaala’ directed by Pa Ranjith might be golden ticket for the actress to break it big in the Tamil film industry. The film directed by Pa Ranjith is all set to hit the screens coming June 7,2018.
