Kaaryasthan

After the recent return to hit films with `Pappy Appacha', Dileep is back with a family movie titled as `Kaaryasthan'. Directed by debutante director Thomson, the movie will have Dileep back to his favorite scriptwriters, Sibi K Thomas and Udhay Krishna. As usual with the scriptwriters, this too will be a humorous tale with a lot of twists.

Dileep plays the role of Krishnanunni, a fun liking young man who joins Puthezathu Tharavadu as a care taker or `Kaaryasthan'. The much famed family is in loggerheads with another big family of the region Kizhekkadathu Tharavaadu for a long time. Once both the families were very close but due to some reasons they started quarrelling which finally resulted in separation by building a big wall between the households. Salim Kumar plays the role of Kalidasan who is the overseer of Kizhakkadathu Tharavaadu. Veteran actor Madhu and G K Pillai are in the role of Karanavars of both the ancestral families which house a lot of persons. The movie goes on to tell how Krishnanunni manages to end the rivalry between families with his humble and innocent ways.

Akhila, a former Television compere, makes her debut as heroine of Dileep, playing Sreebala, the younger heir of one of the families. Vandana who played one of the heroines in `Happy Husbands' plays another female lead. The big cast also features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagathy, Siddique, Biju Menon, Janardhanan, Suresh Krishna, Ganesh, Baburaj, Sadique, Manoj, Harisree Asokan, Santhosh, Rimi Tomy,Thesny Khan, Biju Naryanan, Afsal, Jyotsna, Beena Antony, Archana, Nisha, Usha, Sheeja, Yadhukrishnan, Kaviraj, Rajiv Rangan and Krishnaprasad.

A song that was picturised on Dileep and thirty popular television stars is expected to be one of the highlights of the film. The movie will also have three other songs written by Kaithapram by Berny-Ignacius. Thomson, the director who debuts through the movie had been a senior associate and had been in the industry for quite some years.

Produced by Neeto Anto under the banner of Ann Media, `Kaaryasthan' is expected to be on theatres by November.
