Karunanidhi’s demise has been considered a great and irreplacebale loss to not only the field of politics but literature as well. But apart from proving himself to be an extraordinary master in writing, oration, politics Karunanidhi was also an avid cricket lover.

Reportedly, the DMK supremo would even cancel meetings to watch cricket matches along with his colleagues. Who is his favourite cricketer? In 2013, he had tweeted that even though adored Kapil Dev who brought us the world cup 1983, his favourite would always be CSK’s captain Thala Dhoni!

Kalaignar Karunanidhi passed away on Tuesday at 6.10 pm aged 94.
