Singer Kalpana’s Suicide Attempt Leads to Intensive Care Hospitalization

Hyderabad: Popular playback singer Kalpana’s suicide attempt has created a stir. She is currently receiving intensive medical treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Kalpana, a well-known singer in Tamil cinema, resides in a high-rise apartment in Nizampet, Hyderabad. For the past two days, her apartment door remained closed, raising concerns. The building’s security guard noticed this and informed other residents.

Her phone was also found switched off. Concerned residents alerted the police, who arrived promptly. Upon breaking open the door, they found Kalpana unconscious. She was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, where she is now on ventilator support.

Kalpana is the daughter of the late actor and singer T. S. Raghavendra. She has sung popular Tamil songs such as “Thirupaachi Aruvaale” from Taj Mahal, “Pennae Neeyum Penna” from Priyamaana Thozhi, and “Nee Varumbothu” from Mazhai. In Telugu, she has sung hundreds of songs. Additionally, she was a judge on Vijay TV’s Super Singer.

The police are investigating the reason behind her suicide attempt. Fans and celebrities are expressing their wishes for her speedy recovery on social media.
