Nandini Reddy teams up with Kalyan Koduri once again after 'Ala Modalaindi'.  The album lives up to the title's grandeur.  Lakshmi Bhoopal has a single card album here.

Kalyan Koduri, Sunitha, Hari Charan, Sushma Triya, Rahul Nambiar, Pearl Maane, Chinmayee and Vijay Yesudas are the range of singers.  Deepu chips in for a song where Dhanraj, Hemanth and Labhoo break the rules.

Chakkandala Chukka

Artists: Kalyan Koduri, Sunitha
Lyricist: Lakshmi Bhoopal

Kalyan Koduri comes with a Keeravani Midas Touch for this celebratory number. There is a bit of AR Rehman, too, somewhere. Melodious and meaningful at once, the song blends Lakshmi Bhoopal's lyrical imagination with its share of peaks and retreats.  The rendition by Kalyan and Sunitha is apt for a song of this genre.  All in all, a marriage song that is boisterous and traditional at once.

Chirunavvule

Artists: Hari Charan, Sushma Triya
Lyricist: Lakshmi Bhoopal

The lyrics have a mongrealised flavour to it.  Lakshmi Bhoopal's lyrics are laced with words from English and Telugu.  The contemporaneous nature of the parlance has a relatable context for the young generation. Hari Charan and Sushma Triya bring the much-needed everdayness to the song.  If 'Chakkandala Chukka' is mainstream, this song sounds more like an offbeat avatar of a mainstream song.  Kalyan scores over the score!

Pai Pai

Artists: Rahul Nambiar, Pearl Maane
Lyricist: Lakshmi Bhoopal

The festive mood re-emerges after the maiden song.  Lakshmi Bhoopal's lyrics philosophize as well as celebrate the joys of life.  Rahul Nambiar's familiar vocals don't need an intro.  He brings life to the lively song.  Pearl Maane's vocals have a youngish and offbeat flavour.  Kalyan Koduri does a fine job with instrumentation.

Manasantha Meghamai

Artists: Chinmayee Lyricist: Lakshmi Bhoopal

A melody and a classy composition, this song stands out for its instrumentation, rendition and the lyrical richness.  The dramatic mood is heralded by Lakshmi Bhoopal's lyrics as much as Chinmayee's consummate vocals, which are not as obvious as they are in her earlier renditions.  Kalyan Koduri has probably scored the most profoundest song of the album with a touch of musical grace and charm.

Pelli Pelli

Artists: Deepu, Dhanraj, Hemanth, Labhoo
Lyricist: Lakshmi Bhoopal

Lakshmi Bhoopal's lyrics are peppered with quirky language, sentences that make as much sense as Pettai Rap from 'Premikudu'.  The lyrics have the hero say marraige is 'manta', to cut the song short.  Deepu's 'Jai Bolo Jawani..' is the best aspect of this song, while Dhanraj, Hemanth and Labhoo chip in with their irreverence.  Kalyan Koduri makes the song worthy of humming.

Evaru Neevu

Artist: Vijay Yesudas
Lyricist: Lakshmi Bhoopal

The tragedy song has heart-rending lyrics from Lakshmi Bhoopal.  Lines like 'manasu natho cheppakunda ninnu dachinda?' and 'asalu anni kalla lo ne avirayye na..'  are laden with deep meaning.  Vijay Yesuda's rendition only perks up the pathos feel of the lyrics and the mood.  Kalyan's musical output draws from the old school and blends the latest trends along.

Verdict: 'Kalyana Vaibhogame' has a music that has grandeur, celebration, pathos and irreverence.  A good musical by Kalyan Koduri, it has soothing lyrics from Lakshmi Bhoopal.
