Kamal Hassan got into some serious trouble when he voiced out his opinion not to take Nilavembu Kashayam until proper research is completed on its side effects. The statement attracted opposition from various people including political parties and the state.

Even a complaint was lodges against the actor in the Chennai commissioner’s office and the actor received flak from the stat’e Siddha doctors association. However, now the actor has come up with an explanantion regarding the issue.

The actor stated that he was not against the Nilavembu kudineer and he just asked his welfare members to not distrribute the herbal portion. Furthermore, he added that it was in no way justifiable to spread news that he was totally agaiunst the Nilavembu kashayam.
