Kamal Haasan extends support to Chennai floods by donating Rs.15 lakh

South super star Kamal Haasan comes all out and extends his support to the rain-affected victims of Tamil Nadu. He has donated Rs.15 lakh to the Chief Minister Jayalalitha's Public Relief Fund. The week long rain in the state has pounded many parts of Tamil Nadu. Even though, the rains has stopped but the water level has not receded in many places. People have not only lost their homes or household but family members too. The city and its people are still limping back to normalcy which will take a long time.

Sources say that Haasan's manager told media, "The cheque of Rs.15 lakh has been handed over to Nadigar Sangam which will in turn pass it to the relief fund." Several actors from Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood industries like Rajinikanth, Suriya, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Dhanush, Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan and many more have so far contributed to help the people of the state.
