An Audio clip of ambulance driver Pandidurai arguing with his parents that he would continue to help take coronavirus patients to the hospital and that they need not worry that he would get infected has gone viral. The parents of Pandidurai are heard begging him to quit the job as he is their only son and they are afraid of losing him while their son questions them back what would happen to the patients if all the drivers thought this way.

Kamal Haasan has lauded Pandidurai and has written on Twitter to him "108 Ambulance driver Pandidurai you are my star of future India. Selfless heroes like him are the pillars of this country who drive it. Although the emotional cries of love from his parents are gut-wrenching Pandidurai's heart worrying about the country and its citizens is what is called GOD'"

It may be recalled that Kamal spoke this dialogue in his critically acclaimed 'Anbe Sivam' in the climax when Santhanabharathi's wily character would spare him from death and ask his pardon he would say 'Your kind heart is GOD". It is truly a great gesture from Kamal recognizing the duty conscious and compassionate Pandidurai on a mission to save lives from the deadly coronavirus.
