Breaking! Kamal Haasan gifts car to bus driver Sharmila who lost her job controversially

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan who is still the actor par excellence in Indian cinema after five decades is also making waves as a politician. He has now once again made heads turn with his awesome gesture to Coimbatore bus driver Sharmila who lost her job in a controversial manner.

Sharmila aged 24 is the first female bus driver in her district who was discharging her duties efficiently working for a private bus company. On June 23rd, DMK leader Kanimozhi boarded the bus and a video of her interaction with Sharmila went viral. That very afternoon Sharmila quit her job as her owner reportedly accused her of hunting for publicity. The issue created a sensation on social media with majority of netizens supporting the young girl.

Kamal Haasan invited Sharmila to his office and on behalf of his Kamal Panbaatu Maiam gifted her a car and in his note has suggested that she begin a tourist taxi business and inspire more young girls to follow their dreams like her. The 67 year old thespian added that women who have been suppressed for centuries have to break the barriers and move forward in life and by only supporting them the society can take pride as an evolved one.

On Sunday Kamal Haasan hogged the limelight as the official announcement came regarding him acting as the main villain in Prabhas's upcoming pan Indian film 'Project K'. The film directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Ashwini Dutt also has Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in the cast. Kamal will also soon wrap up the shooting of Shankar's 'Indian 2' and will start shooting for 'KH 233' directed by H. Vinoth and host 'Bigg Boss Tamil 7' simultaneously.
