Kamal harshly condemns Nakkeeran Gopal's arrest

It's a known fact that veteran journalist Nakkeeran Gopal was arrested this morning over the alleged defamation that he caused to the TN governor Banwarilal Purohit. The incident received condemnation from political leaders including Vaiko and MK Stalin.
However, TTV Dhinakaran supported the act as he reasoned that it was improper to allege someone without proof. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan the leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam has stated his opinion on the issue as well. He opined that laying hands on media is like stamping the throat of democracy.
