Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam gets government approval

Kamal Haasan launched his political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam on February 21st 2018 at a public meeting in Madurai.  He had then submitted the required  documents  to the Election Commission of India for registration.  The EC had asked him to appear personally to clarify certain things and Kamal flew to Delhi a couple of days back and did the needful.

The Election Commission has registered Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam which has brought great cheer to his cadres.  The Ulaganayagan as he is known in his film world is now a full fledged political leader acknowledged by the Indian constitution and we extend our hearty congratulations to him.
