Kamal Haasan completed the South Africa schedule of 'Indian 2' on Tuesday. He will soon wrap up his portions in the movie. Meanwhile, Ulaganayagan announced a new magnum opus project with the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam, tentatively called 'KH234'.

The duo reunites after 36 years since the cult classic 'Nayakan'. KH234 will be bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International with music scored by AR Rahman. Earlier, it was said that the makers of KH 234 were aiming for Trisha for the female lead, and the actress was expected to share screen space with Kamal Haasan for the third time.

Now, fresh reports suggest that the team is in talks with Nayanthara to play the leading lady. It is unclear whether Trisha is being replaced or the film will star both actresses opposite Kamal Haasan. If everything goes well, this movie will mark the first collaboration between Ulaganayagan and Lady Superstar. The film is expected to start this year and have a release on 2024.
