Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan had made his Tamil direction debut with the movie Hey Ram, which was released in Tamil as well as Hindi, 20 years ago on this day. As the movie celebrates its 20th anniversary of release, Kamal Haasan has posted a tweet on the movie.

Hey Ram was the Tamil debut of Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and also starred Vasundhara Das, Naseeruddin Shah, Hema Malini, Saurabh Shukhla, Abbas, and won a National award for Atul Kulkarni. Hey Ram had received great reviews and had music by Isagnani Ilaiyaraaja.
