Kamal Haasan proudly shares that villagers refused to take food from him

As reported by us earlier Makkal Neethi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan is in the Tanjore belt visiting the areas affected by the Gaja Cyclone and distributed food and essential items carried in seventy lorries by his party men.  It has been reported that on Kamal's route there was a protest and he was not allowed to pass.

Kamal has clarified that the Ammaiyappan, Amma Pettai and Kottoor villagers were angrily involved in a roadblock protest and when he offered them food they refused stating that they have food but it is electricity they are fighting for.  The Ulaganayagan mighty impressed by the statement has said that he is proud as a Tamilian that the people are not poor but rich in magnanimity.  He also took a dig at the ruling government stating that from a helicopter the state of the people cannot be fully comprehended and it is necessary for leaders to visit the areas in person and talk to the people.
