Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan's next movie will be Indian 2, the sequel to his 1996 mega hit movie. Directed by Shankar who directed the first part, this movie is produced by Lyca Productions and was launched in January itself. However after the launch the shooting did not make progress.

However, after all the talks and delays, the shooting of Indian 2 is back on track, and on the special day marking the 60th year of Kamal Haasan in films, shooting has resumed and this was confirmed by none other than Rakul Preet Singh who is acting in the movie.

She had posted a photo from the sets of the movie, with the caption Indian 2 begins, on her Instagram story, confirming the shoot resuming. Indian 2 also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Aishwarya Rajesh, Vidyut Jammwal and has music by Anirudh.
