The makers of Kamal Haasan's Vikram had earlier announced that the film's audio and trailer launch event will take place on May 13. The first single from the film is releasing today and Anirudh Ravichander who is composing music for this much anticipate dfilm has announced it officially on his twitter account.

Taking to his twitter, Anirudh wrote, "#PathalaPathala Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan sir in yerangi kuthu mode after a long time #VikramFirstSingle from today @Dir_Lokesh @RKFI." The veteran himself has sung and written lyrics for the song, which is titled Pathala Pathala. A few days ago Anirudh took to Twitter to thank Kamal and share photos taken with him and the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj during the recording session.

The actor also mentioned that Anirudh has been living up to his family's standards of excellence, "All the while I was thinking about what a great lineage you belong to. From your great grandfather to YOU, what abundant talents and achievements in one family. You are truly living up to your family's standards of excellence. More power to you my young friend," he wrote.

Vikram, co-written by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rathna Kumar, also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles. Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi, and Gayathrie Shankar are also part of the cast. The film, billed as a big-scale actioner, has cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and stunt choreography by Anbariv.
