Kamal Haasans emotional message after shocking Indian 2 accident

Kollywood is shell shocked after the accident on the sets of 'Indian 2' which claimed the lives of Chandran (60) set assistant, Sri Krishna (34) assistant director and Madhu (29) Shankar's personal assistant. The incident happened around 9.30 pm at the EVP Studios on the outskirts of Chennai. Director Shankar had a lucky escape as a heavy 150 feet crane carrying a huge light crashed on to the tent where he and the others were seated with the monitor. The injured include the stunt choreographer.

Kamal Haasan who was shooting at the time ensured that the injured were rushed to the nearby Savitha hospital. The thespian has shared on social media in Tamil "Even though I have been through several accidents the one that happened now is horrific. The pain that I go through of losing three of my colleagues is nothing compared to that of their families. I stand with them as their own and offer my condolences."

Kamal has added "I have met those in the hospital and have also spoken to the doctors and with my strong hope that the injured will recover soon I await the dawn of tomorrow."
