Legendary actor Kamal Haasan was admitted to a private hospital in Porur, Chennai yesterday and it was stated that it is for a routine checkup. Now it has been reported that he was discharged at around 11.30 am today January 18th.

Sources say that the Ulaganaygan will be taking rest at home for the rest of the week and will resume shooting for 'Vikram' from January 25th. It is also said that he will participate in weekly episodes of 'Bigg Boss Ultimate' the OTT version of the reality show that will air 24/7 with celebrities from all the five seasons so far.

Kamal has already announced his new production venture starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. He also has plans for a movie with Vikram and Vijay Sethupathi, and projects with other major stars that will be announced in the coming months.
