Now Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has also let out his opinion about the controversy. The actor-politician conducted the Mock Gram Sabha event conducted on behalf of his Makkal Needhi Maiyyam Party on Tuesday in Chennai. While addressing the media in that event, Kamal said "Not just journalists. Speaking like this about anyone is a grave mistake. Those who did that should be duly punished. It is our collective responsibility to see that they get punished and also to teach them respect. "

It must be noted that S.Ve.Shekhar has acted with both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in many Tamil films of 1980s.
