Kamal, Shankar, Kajal luckily got saved from major accident

A major accident on the sets of 'Indian 2' has claimed three lives besides leaving several others injured, on Wednesday night.  The incident happened at around 9.30 pm, at EVP Studios in Chennai.  A heavy light that was placed on a 150 feet crane crashed onto a tent, crushing to death the victims.

While three technicians died on the spot, a few others were injured.  Luckily, three major celebs had a providential escape.  Kamal Haasan, Shankar and Kajal Aggarwal were reportedly sitting under the canopy that was crushed by the crane till 10 seconds before the accident.  Costume Designer Amrutha Ram is the fourth one who escaped.  She took to Twitter to talk about the providential escape.

"This is the most horrific accident that I have ever experienced. I am extremely saddened by the loss of the three technicians.  The grief of the family members is far greater than my own. I have spoken with the doctors who are treating the injured crew members and hope for their speedy recovery," the 'Vishwaroopam' actor tweeted out.

Rakul Preet Singh, who is part of the movie, said, "Shocked to hear about the accident on the set of my film 'Indian 2'. I don’t even know how to process the loss of lives.  My heart goes out to the families of the deceased.  I am extremely sad."
