Kamal Haasan's close family friend quits Makkal Needhi Maiam suddenly

Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam party has contested in the recent assembly elections in 154 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. It is going to face the acid test of what kind of impact it would make in the state when the results are announced on May 2nd.

Meanwhile, actor Nassar's wife Kameela Nassar has quit the Makkal Needhi Maiam party which has surprised many since she and her husband are long-time family friends of Kamal.

The MNM General secretary Santhosh Babu in an official statement has said that Kameela has resigned from the post of the State secretary for Chennai zone as well as basic membership of the party due to personal reasons.
